Step 1 of 2
The mission of the Josephine School Community Museum is to create and manage a living museum dedicated to preserving our original 1882 schoolhouse and sharing the people, objects, and stories that form the continuing legacy of Clarke County's African-American history and heritage.
The Josephine School Community Museum represents an opportunity beyond its cultural importance. It is an opportunity to:
- Broaden community awareness and appreciation;
- Foster pride and understanding; and
- provide a focus for community activities and celebrations.
Help us make these opportunities realities.
